Our Core Values

Nowadays, the Treasure State’s riches aren’t measured solely in ounces of copper, gold, or silver mined; we believe that the real treasure of Montana is our magnificent lands and our public wildlife that lives here.

Accountability - We recognize that hunter ethics need to be improved through education, accountability, and a culture that respects private property, public responsibility, and our tradition of fair chase hunting.

Collaboration - We know that our differences aren’t insurmountable and that sharing ideas over a cup of coffee & listening to what others are experiencing is the best way to find common ground.

Fairness - We believe that wildlife management opportunities should be allocated equitably.

Inclusion - We welcome different viewpoints and stakeholders to these discussions.

Persistence - We observe that some would rather have us divided and angry at each other instead of working together. This work won't be easy. However, we’re electing to take the high road by working with Montanans across the state rather than expecting lobbyists and politicians to solve our problems.

Science - We value science and trust the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation to guide wildlife management decisions.

Transparency & Trust - We maintain that honesty and openness lead to better policy outcomes for everyone.
